Kick (2014)
Kick is an upcoming Bollywood action thriller film starring
Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. It is directed and produced
by Sajid Nadiadwala.The film is now in pre-production stage.
The film was supposed to be directed by Shirish Kunder but he opted
out and Sajid Nadiadwala replaced him. This will be his first directorial
venture.

Development
In late 2011 Nadiadwala announced his intention to remake a 2009 Telugu movie Kick with actor Salman Khan. After Shirish Kunder and Kabir Khan backed out to direct. Nadiadwala received an invitation from the Korea Tourism Organization, and after his team visited South Korea in September 2011, he signed an agreement to shoot portions of this project and others in that country. Salman Khan has signed on to act in the film, now to be directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. On October 26, 2012, Chetan Bhagat was announced to be screenwriter of Kick, and Rajat Arora would write the dialogues. Although rumours suggested various actresses having been approached for the film, including Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Ileana D'Cruz, Angela Jonsson, Sonakshi Sinha, and Asin, it was revealed that Jacqueline Fernandez was signed as the leading lady. Sajid Nadiadwala is hiring services of foreign action directors for Kick and would be filming in Korea, Japan, India and London.
